Bill Shaddock

Bill Shaddock, is the owner and CEO of the Bill Shaddock Family of Companies and is a leading figure in the North Texas business community. He earned his BBA in Finance at TCU, his MBA in Real Estate at SMU and went on to earn his JD from Baylor Law School.  He subsequently joined a downtown Dallas law firm. Shaddock left the practice of law in 1983, to team with his brother, Peter, in the real estate business. Together they started Shaddock Development Co, which is now one of the most prolific real estate businesses in North Texas.

Bill remains an active partner in Shaddock Development Co. along with his brother Peter and sons, William and Andrew. Additionally, Bill is an accomplished entrepreneur, having founded a collection of businesses known as The Bill Shaddock Family of Companies. These include Capital Title of Texas (the Largest Independent Title Company in the United States), Shaddock National Holdings (collection of title companies across the United States), First National Title Insurance Co. (the 9 the Largest Title Underwriter in the United States) and Willow Bend Mortgage Company.

Shaddock’s many professional and personal accomplishments include business and humanitarian recognition and awards for exemplary best-practices and selfless work effort in the Dallas community and at his alma maters. Bill is also a dedicated family man, taking great joy in spending time with his wife, three children and 4 beautiful granddaughters.

Michael Rubin “Mike” grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL. He got his start in the title industry in 1997 with a small agency in Glen Ellyn, IL and never looked back. Throughout his 25-year career in the industry, Mike has led operations large and small, agent and underwriter. Mike is currently the President of Shaddock National Holdings and is responsible for The Shaddock Companies’ mergers and acquisitions activity and agency management nationally. The Shaddock Companies are the largest collective of independent title insurance agencies in the nation.

Mike holds the designations of National Title Professional and Illinois Escrow Professional. He has also served on the board of the Illinois Land Title Association and several American Land Title committees.

Mike currently resides in Northern Colorado with his partner Cordelia and their three children.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mike is passionate about mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

Michael Shimanek

Michael has 15 years of experience in financial reporting, technical accounting, compliance, and internal controls.

He oversees all financial aspects of Shaddock National Holdings, LLC, including financial statement production, cash management, budgeting and forecasting, and any external financial reporting requirements. Michael is a CPA in the state of Texas and was a Director for a regional accounting firm overseeing a wide range of assurance engagements, with a focus on financial services, healthcare, and construction contractors. Most recently, Michael served as Controller for one of the nation’s largest private reverse mortgage loan originators, overseeing $14 Billion of assets and $270 Million of revenues, and managing a diverse team of international professionals.

Michael lives in Lewisville, Texas, with his wife Lauren and two daughters.

Mark has over 30 years’ experience working for major title insurance underwriters. He has worked and consulted with hundreds of independent title agencies & attorneys throughout Florida and in The Bahamas. Now, with Shaddock, Mark shares his industry knowledge and experience with independent title agency owners who are shifting in their careers, considering selling or bringing in an independent equity partner like Shaddock, who will preserve their legacy through acquisition. He also manages the acquisition process in Florida as Shaddock provides a better, more flexible, open solution to title agency owners.
